I didn’t get a chance to blog about it, but a new cigarette labeling and advertising law went into effect June 22, 2010 of this year that no longer allow package labeling or advertisements to use the terms “light” or “ultra-light” among others.
The new regulations are part of the Tobacco Act passed last year.
If you were to judge the effectiveness of the new law by the picture I took September 12th 2010 however, one may be inclined to think that

Cigarette Labeling Law Review = FAIL
Yesterday 3 Judges from the U.S. Court of Appeals heard oral arguments on the latest legal action in the case #10-5032 of Sottera, Inc v. FDA.
This news is incredibly timely and hot and thankfully an e-cig forum veteran was in Washington DC to witness the proceedings and report and…

FDA E Cig Warning Letters Linked to Court Case – Suspicions Confirmed
It’s time for a little rant. One of the cornerstone arguments for banning fruit and candy flavored cigarettes (and now electronic cigarettes) is that they target minors.
Really? How can an inanimate pack of cigs or an electronic cigarette perform such a heinous act? Quite simple really.. With a little help and proper placement from living breathing PEOPLE anything can be dangerous or evil.
As a result of this media fueled dogma, all candy and fruit flavored cigarettes are now banned as of late last year.
I realized again just how bogus the fruit and candy flavored cigarette argument is today as I walked around Target and then later WalGreens and noticed

Target Helps Prove Candy & Fruit Flavored Cigarette Bans Are Bull
I figured it out.. I think I know why so many anti-smoke / tobacco oppose e cigarettes. It’s because at some point in history these zealots must have lost a previous battle because kids can still buy candy cigarettes!
That’s right. Check it out.
I was in a store the other day and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I spotted advertising for “retro-candy” on the checkout isle which included a [...]

I know this is short notice guys but I just found out about SB 400 yesterday which would ban the sale of eCigs in California.
SB400 was originally an alternative energy bill, but was strangely amended to only ban electronic cigarettes and no longer makes any mention of energy.
If Governor Schwarzenegger does not veto this bill by close of business tomorrow, Friday 10-9-2009, it will become law automatically next week!
It is important that you act on this immediately even if you are not a California resident because

There was a round of FoxNews videos that gave electronic cigarettes, and NJOY in particular a very positive review. I heard about these stories a few weeks back and wanted to catch up and comment on them.
First, let me say, I am not a huge FoxNews supporter even though I label myself as an independent with conservative tendencies. I am aware of their history and their …
